TOEIC - Test of English for International Communication

Every year the TOEIC has more than 5 million test participants world wide. Most international, large firms, as well as about 2000 European companies, rely on the TOEIC test when it comes to evaluating their employees’ English language levels, understanding their training requirements and fixing the English level required for job positions (benchmarking).

Large European firms such as  Deutsche Telekom, Renault, EADS, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Airbus, Unilever, NEC Computer International, Accenture and so on refer to TOEIC scores in job descriptions and job advertisements.

The TOEIC test is not only a standardised appraisal tool for HR departments of internationally working companies but is also used by universities, institutions of higher education, technical colleges, private language schools, business schools and government institutions.

As a TOEIC score is much more meaningful than the standard “fluent in” application phrase many students, graduates, job hunters and applicants for jobs abroad take
the TOIC test to confirm their English proficiency. Most French and European universities and colleges highly recommend that their students pass the TOIC test before graduating to simplify entry into the working world.
