The Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française (DELF) is an officially recognised French language diploma issued by the French Ministry of Education and is accepted, for example, as proof of language proficiency for the naturalisation process in Quebec. The examinations cover levels A1 to B2; DELF Pro is designed to certify professionally relevant French language skills.

Elements of the different DELF tests:

DELF A1 – simple interaction, descriptions and short reports, approx. 1.2 hours

DELF A2 – social relationships, etiquette and everyday situations, approx. 1.4 hours

DELF B1 – longer interactions, argumentation and handling everyday problems, approx. 1.45 hours

DELF B2 – hypotheses, extended language repertoire and advanced language awareness, approx. 2.5 hours
